Welcome to Rick Huby's Website

Hello Son!

13 May 2008 - Our first child arrives on the scene. Welcome home son.

Junior arrived on the scene at 15:53 on Tuesday 13th May. He weighed in at a hefty 8lb 7oz, despite being 2 weeks early.

Catherine started labour at 22:20 on Sunday evening - the same time that the last Match of the Day for 2007/2008 started (my best guess is that junior was hoping to catch his first glimpse of United with some silverware :-) ).

Unfortunately for him (and more unfortunately for Catherine) labour took a little longer than the 15 minutes required for him to catch the end of the editted highlights - around 41 hours behind schedule in fact :-). Sorry son, if I had invested in the Sky+ box I could have recorded that Match of the Day for you!

As yet we haven't decided on a name - though Luke Fredrick Huby or Thomas Fredrick Huby seem to be the front runners at the minute.

For now I will just launch a few initial photos - sure there will be a few to follow :-)

Catherine loving the gas and air.
Catherine NEEDING the gas and air!
Junior and Catherine together for the first time.
Me, Catherine and our new born son.
My son and I have our first cuddle.
Quick nap.

Congrats Rick and Catherine. I can't believe you have one of those little guys. Can't wait to see him. If you're still deciding on names...why not be different and through in an ethnic name as well...i don't know...how about "ravi"...he could be the white feather....

Congratulations! He's adorable!!! Love to you all. Look fwd to seeing you soon. Sunny xx

Congratulations to you both, especially to Catherine who clearly had to put in a hell of an effort - looks like it paid off :) I guess Hoobs is chuffed he won't miss the Champions League final now too! Let us know when you're going to be taking visitors and until then, say hello to him for us.

Rob + Gilly xxx

PS. Our vote for his name goes to "Rob Robert Roberto Robriguez Huby". Failing that, Tom.

All the best from Claire and I in Honduras. When Catherine was going through labour hell, ClaireŽs shoes were melting away into the lava that was coming towards us with speed from the Pacaya volcano in Guetemala. I donŽt think sheŽd have switched places too readily even with feet aflame :-)

Look forward to chatting to you both soon - will be in touch over phone now that weŽve belatedly entered the 21st century VOIP techno revolution

Love J&C x

Congratulations on your son. It seems a long time since you were in year 5 with Almas who always cheated on tests. Neil's mum keeps me informed on what is going on with ex-pupils so I don't miss much! Once again, best wishes.
