Poppa Huby in Training! (25 Nov 2007)

Well we've been keeping it quiet over the last 6 weeks or so, slowly letting people know as we got chance...and now we can finally unleash the news to the world at large!

It's been fun unleashing the news on unsuspecting, parents, grandparents, friends and colleagues. For anyone wanting a date for the diary; 23rd May 2008 is the due date.

I apologise now to the people who I didn't manage to get pics of - I forgot my camera on a couple of occaisions so a few of the announcements have been missed...

Thanks to everyone for all their kind words, excitement & enthusiasm - I don't think we'll be short of babysitters come May next year!

Thanks,

Poppa Huby (in training)

Ravi Toor Returns to Milton (20 Nov 2007)

I had gret news a few weeks back when I learned that my good pal Ravi Toor was making an impromptu visit to the UK.

Whilst we were only going to get a couple of days at best with him it would have to be enough. In the end I was a bit gutted that we only really got one night with him but a top night it was.

We started out in Lounge68 where Mr Colin Steele was generous enough to buy a bottle of Champagne to go along with the good news we had that evening (not the Israel Russia score either - but more on that later!) We then headed to the all you can eat Chinese buffet at Jumbo before a few crafty Schneiders in Vox.

I've not had time to put the photos together in a gallery yet (though Olds has) but I'll hopefully get that up and running sooner rather than later.

I leave you with Ravi Toor on top form:

Huddersfield Food Festival (16 Aug 2007)

I sometimes get frustrated working in the town centre. Its noisy, there's always construction going on, parking's a nightmare. Even The Media Centre has its own foibles.

But for one week every year I love working in the town centre. That week is the Huddersfield Food Festival week.

For a few days that week my lunch times are transformed - goodbye sarnies and spuds; hello exotic food, snacks and drinks from around the world!

The biggest problem for me is that there is only a couple of lunch times for me to take advantage of it and every year there are loads of places to eat. One day is always taken up by the greatest curry in the known Universe - Ali Murad. But then I have to choose between Argentinian beef, Jem & Jo milkshakes, huge pies, Caribbean rice & peas, Thai food, French food (okay its all great) and a veritable plethora of beers and wines.

A final glance at the list of stall holders does however leave me a bit perturbed - what exactly are the St Johns Ambulance going to be serving up?

Website Finally Live! (27 Jun 2007)

After literally a year of playing about and promising to actually deliver a website, somehow I have actually managed to do it.

I managed to sneak the final website push in between business growth plans, holidays, projects and a decimated boiler (not to mention Oblivion which has also managed to consume countless hours).

Well anyway, enjoy the site - any feedback is more than welcome.
