A bit about me
Hi! I’m Rick Huby, an experienced website developer based in the North West. I have extensive experience in front end development, using XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (including OO and TDD).
My server side experience includes over 7 years working with OO PHP, around 2 years of C# and .NET MVC, with bits and pieces of Java for good measure. I’ve dabbled in the world of the database but wouldn’t consider myself a DBA by any stretch of the imagination.
I’ve worked on small projects for SME’s, custom ecommerce websites, as well as enterprise applications with hundreds of thousands of monthly users.
I’ve experienced life in both agency & corporate environments and worked under both traditional & agile methodologies.
I love working with jQuery & CodeIgniter and have recently taken a shine to WordPress (apologies to my old flame Drupal, don’t want to rub it in too much).
